Magento ecommerce site driving growth for this exciting British clothing brand
After selling for years through eBay, Oh Polly felt it was time to branch out and run their own store. With competitors like Boohoo, MissGuided and ASOS (All of which also use Magento) we had a tough brief but we’ve managed to capture their audience with a pastel website that encourages the visitor to pick the perfect look and buy online.
We were tasked with creating an exciting new ecommerce site, showcasing the beautiful handcrafted leather goods, but more importantly increasing conversion rates across the site.
We spent a day with the guys and girls from Oh Polly, finding out what designs make them tick, what websites they get inspired by, browsing their range of clothing and understand what their average customers were on eBay. This helped us build a strong picture of who they wanted to target and what style the site needed to be.
For this project there was only Magento, it ticked every box!
After we had designed the cool and slick new site we began moulding Magento, inserting out of stock notifications so customers could have a personal experience then bringing in the latest images from Instagram to show off their clothes. On top of this we integrated the site with Linnworks which is a CRM system that not only acts like a virtual warehouse but also gave Oh Polly a way to manage their stock across eBay, Amazon and their brand new Magento website.
Within just 6 months Oh Polly has secured itself as one of the premier go to fashion websites for the 18 to 30 female market and boasts some amazing statistics!
From 0 to 115,000 unique visitors per month in just over half a year. This site can handle huge traffic.
The easy to use site is obviously a favourite amoung it’s users and is set to break £2m this year.
This growing website atrracts a massive amount of new visitors from organic & social.
